Loretta Keene Deel
Haysi, VA – Loretta Keene Deel, age 69 of Old Greenbrier Road, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Grundy, VA, following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was a daughter of the late James and Florence Hargett. She was of the Old Regular Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include her husband, Whitton Deel, two sisters, Helen Ward of Flint, MI and Patsy (Dennis) Kindrick of Bremen, OH, three brothers, Thomas Hargett of Oakhill, OH, Jerry (Bessie) Hargett of Haysi, and Larry (Margie) Hargett of Cedar Bluff, VA, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2017 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders Buster Mullins, Steve Lyall, Jimmy Yates, Eddie Newsome, and Larry Hargett officiating. Burial will follow in the Conaway Cemetery, Rakes Ridge. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 12 at the funeral home where an evening service will be held at 7:00 p.m. The family would like to extend a heart felt thank you to Dr. H. Patel and all the staff of the Heritage Hall Nursing Home for their kind and gentle patience with our sister Loretta through this most difficult time.
