TONY MICHAEL “CAMMEL” MUSICK
Vansant, VA- Tony Michael “Cammel” Musick, age 53, a lifelong resident of Buchanan County, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Buchanan General Hospital in Grundy, VA. Born in Dickenson County, he was a son of Virginia Lorene Vandyke and the late Floyd “Pierre” Musick. He was last employed as a coal miner and was a highly skilled mechanic. He was a race car enthusiast and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Clement and Martha Stanley, paternal grandparents, Will and Myrtle Musick.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his best friend and loving fiancé, Rosetta Ratliff, a son, Brandon M. (Tiffany) Musick of Grundy, a sister, Melessa (David) Hagy of Vansant, a brother, Chad Musick of Abingdon, a nephew, Shannon Newberry and a niece, Holly (Chris) Nickels both of Grundy, a great-niece, Kailey Newberry and special pet, PJ.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Haysi Funeral Home with Bill Neeley officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Colley Cemetery, Breaks, VA. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home prior to funeral service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to help pay toward funeral expenses.
