Birchleaf, VA- Larry Hall, age 64 of Rakes Ridge Road, passed away Friday, December 9, 2016 at his home due to an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was a son of the late Lonzo Hall and Snoda Mullins Rose. He was a retired coal miner for 31 years and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a sister, Reba Gay Hall.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his lifelong love and caretaker, Tina Woods, three daughters, Lori (Clinton) Yates of Haysi, Gwen Hall and Tyra Hall both of FL, a son, Donnie Hall of Haysi, grandsons, Cole Yates, Chance Yates, Cage Yates, Christian Yates, Cody Hall and Caleb Hall, granddaughters, Caitlin Hall and April Sands, 5 great-grandchildren, Lauren, Conner, Levi, Aubrey, and Braxton, a sister, Linda (Shannon) Mullins of Clintwood, a nephew, Matthew and nieces, Dedra and Lisa.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Haysi Funeral Home with Norman Cumbo officiating. Burial will follow in J.S. Willis Cemetery, Haysi, VA. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Matthew Mullins and Clinton Yates. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10 at the funeral home with a service at 7:00 p.m. with Jeff Tiller.
