SCOTTY WAYNE HACKNEY
Haysi, VA- Scotty Wayne Hackney, age 52 of Blankenship Lane, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston- Salem, NC. Born in Maryland, he was a son of Delores H. Duty and Delmer Duty. He was last employed as a coal miner. Mr. Hackney was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Hezicar and Virgie Duty, maternal grandparents, Ray Blankenship and Alta Blankenship Tiller, and a brother-in-law, James Stiltner.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Kim Hackney, a son, Jeffrey Earl Hackney of Grundy, grandchildren, Jeffrey Earl Hackney Jr., Marie Hackney and Bill Keen, five brothers, Ricky (Juree) Hackney of Maxie, Randy (Dorothy) Hackney, and Ronnie (Amy) Hackney both of Haysi, Danny (Debbie) Duty of MD, and D.C. Duty of Hurley, VA, two sisters, Karen Stiltner of NC and Diana (Bobby) Duty Grisby of Front Royal, VA, nephews, Anthony Hackney, Shawn Stiltner and Ronnie Hackney, nieces, Kimberly Stiltner and Kayla Hackney, and two great nieces, Valerie and Allison Stiltner.
