Big Rock, VA – Allie Susie Yates age 72 of Serenity Circle passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016 in Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, Kentucky. Born in Lee County, she was a daughter of the late Bishop and Mary Moore Bailey. She was last employed as a nurse’s aide and attended Coleman’s United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Survivors include her husband Johnny Yates; a daughter, Lisa and her husband Bill Mullins of Lynchburg, VA; three grandchildren, Jonni Lynn Mullins and her fiancé John Reuther, Joshua Mullins and John Robert Bowman; and two sisters, Mary Lou and Juanita.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Haysi Funeral Home with Matthew Yates officiating. Burial will follow in the Yates Cemetery, Haysi, Va.
