Bobby Wayne O’quinn

Birchleaf, VA – Bobby Wayne O’quinn, age 83 of Rakes Ridge, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Heritage Hall Healthcare in Clintwood, VA. Born in Dickenson County, he was a son of the late Burton and Lacie Deel O’quinn. He was a retired coal miner and member of the Sandlick Primitive Baptist Church since 1974. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Arnold O’quinn, a sister, Rita Jane Wampler, and a nephew, Thomas Yates.
Survivors include three sisters, Erma Jean Yates, Betty Hill, and Alice Faye Owens all of Birchleaf, nephews, Leroy Yates, Arnold O’quinn Jr., Danny O’quinn, Mike Wampler, Tim Wampler, Dale Wampler, Kevin Rasnick, and David Owens, nieces, Angie Carico, Sue Mosteller, and Lisa Owens, and 16 great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elder Noah Kim Edwards, Elder Roger Fuller, and Scott Owens officiating. Burial will follow in the Deel Cemetery, Rakes Ridge. Pallbearers will be nephews and Scott Owens.
