DINAH MARGARET DEEL
Haysi, VA- Dinah Margaret Deel, age 71 of Lazarus Branch, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at her home. Born in Dickenson County, she was a daughter of the late Noah and Alpha Colley Yates. She was a homemaker and had worked as a teacher’s aide. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Ray, James C. and Sidney Harold Yates and sisters, Diaetta Yates and Beth Dingus.
Survivors include her husband, Willard Ferl Deel, two sons, Scotty Ferl (Deirdre) Deel and Edward Amos (Samantha) Deel both of Haysi, grandchildren, Kristen Deel, Austin (Kelsey) Deel, Cody Deel, Dawson Deel, Damon Vance, Lucas Deel, Axl Deel and a great-grandchild, Brantley Mills, five sisters, Neva Lee Osborne, Lura June Phillips, Trula Edwards, Patsy Barton and Becky Mondrage, a brother-in-law, Doyle Dingus and a sister-in-law, Eula Yates.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders Noah Kim Edwards and Don Stacy officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Rebecca Willis Cemetery, Haysi, VA. Pallbearers will be grandsons and Jessee Willis. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Thursday prior to funeral service at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Rebecca Willis church and cemetery.
