Obituary for Sharon Dean Storck (Mullins)

Sharon Dean  Storck (Mullins)
Sharon Dean Mullins Storck, longtime resident of Columbia, MD, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 28th, 2016 following a short but fierce battle with cancer. She was surrounded by the love of her family. She was 70 years old. Sharon was born on April 19, 1945 in Clintwood, Va. She was a graduate of Haysi High School. After graduating she moved to Richmond, VA and later to Columbia, MD. She worked for Mid Atlantic Toyota. She was coowner and President of Eleven of Cedars of Maryland, Inc. and Paint Branch Home in Adelphi, MD before retiring. She also resided in Bristol, Va, Cambridge, MD, and Ellicott City, MD over the years. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was an exquisite daughter, sister, mother, aunt, wife, grandmom, great grandmom and friend. She loved life, and was the most loving and caring woman and she touched anyone's life that had the pleasure of meeting her. She enjoyed being surrounded by friends and family, sharing good food, good stories, and lots of laughter. Her laugh and her smile were infectious! She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Noah Burns and Marie Davis Mullins, brothers, Joe, Kenneth and Jackie Mullins, sisters, Ann Jordan and Janice Willis. She is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Frederick Storck of Columbia, MD, her daughter, Melissa Kendig and husband Mark of Columbia, MD, and her son Chris Mullins of Glade Springs, VA and step daughter Kristen Robey of Locust Grove, VA; grandchildren Mark Kendig, Jr. and wife Sarah, Sean Kendig and wife Leanne, Lindsey Owings and husband Matt, Jake Kendig, John Kendig, James Mullins, Gillian Singstock, Parker Singstock and Dalton Robey. She is survived by her brothers, Bob Mullins of Cleveland, TN, Harry Mullins and wife Sharon of Grove City, Ohio, Wayne Mullins of Richmond, VA, Bill Mullins of Mechanicsville, VA, Mike Mullins and wife Linda of Abingdon, VA, Rick Mullins and wife Pam of Haysi, VA, Mark Mullins of Clinchco, VA and her Sisters, Barbara Mumpower of Bristol, VA and Carole Timberlake of Richmond, VA. She also leaves behind several great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored and doted on. A memorial celebration of life service will be conducted at the Haysi Funeral Home in Haysi, VA, on Saturday April 16, 2016 at 11am. Visitation will be immediately prior to the service. Interment will be in the Mullins-Puckett family cemetery in Clintwood, VA.
