JIMMY FINIS COUNTS
Haysi, VA- Jimmy Finis Counts, age 79 of Nancy Hollow, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN. Born in Dickenson County, he was a son of the late Jennings and Zora Kiser Counts. He was a retired logger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Leftwich Counts, a daughter, Charlene Deel, a sister, Lou Lyall and brothers, Truman Counts, Bunyon Kiser, Dallas Counts and Curly Counts.
Survivors include two sons, Dean (Diana) Counts and Gerald Counts both of Haysi, a daughter, Cheryl (Will) Harrison of Norton, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, four brothers, Buford Counts, Joseph “Mack” Counts, Bob Kiser and Roy Counts, four sisters, Betty Little, Madge Perrigan, Evelyn Perrrigan and Ruby Locklear.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Lick Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Palmer Leftwich and Will Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Sutherland Cemetery, Haysi, VA. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends after 12:00 noon Wednesday at the church prior to funeral service.
