Obituary for Virginia L. Boyd (Yates)

Virginia L.  Boyd (Yates)
Nashville, TN- Virginia L. Yates Boyd, age 89, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Tennessee Christian Hospital. Born in Drill, VA she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Laura Bell Stump Yates. She was a homemaker, a member of First Baptist Church in Pacifica, CA and attended Cornerstone Baptist Church in Nashville, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oakie Boyd and a sister, Geneva Cable.
Survivors include a son, Joseph Wayne (Donna) Boyd of Richmond, two daughters, Linda Sue (Eric) Sharpe of Nashville, TN and Jackie (Dewayne) Chirolo of Fair Oaks, CA, a sister, Jill Nowlin of Wise, two brothers, William Yates of Chatanooga, TN and Hassel (Bea) Yates of Greenville, TN, 6 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Haysi Funeral Home with Roy Lee Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Boyd Family Cemetery, Vansant, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
