RAYTHEN FAYNE BLANKENSHIP
Vansant, VA- Raythen Fayne Blankenship, age 44 of Stagecoach Road, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. Born in Buchanan County, he was a son of Darrell Fayne and Brenda Sue Hurley Blankenship. He was last employed as a truck driver for Grundy Petroleum. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Noah and Gay Blankenship, maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Lena Hurley and a brother-in-law, Roger Taylor.
In addition to his parents, survivors include a son, Declan Bryce Blankenship, two sisters, Theresa Taylor of North Webster, Indiana and Anita Woodward of McConnelsville, Ohio, nephews, Bradley Taylor, Erik Hanson, Zachery Hanson and Braden Woodward and a niece, Marissa Scholl.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Haysi Funeral Home with Devey Owens officiating. A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to memorial service at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family.
