LENEDA FARMER
Jonesville, VA- Leneda Farmer, age 87, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Holston Valley Medical Center. A native of Dickenson County, she was a daughter of the late Landon and Winnie Cyphers Willis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gaines A. Farmer, sisters, Bea Belcher, Melster Owens, June Adkins and Glade Woods, and brothers, Bill, Gene, Wayne and Rex Lowe. Leneda was a very loving and caring person who spent most of her life as a devoted homemaker. She was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church in Jonesville.
Survivors include three sons, Ron Rose and wife Merl of Bushnell, FL, Dennis Rose and wife Colleen of Breaks, VA, and Gaines Avery Farmer and wife Cathie of Jonesville; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, at Robinette Funeral Home in Jonesville with a funeral service to begin at 7:00 p.m. The family will also receive friends from 5 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 17, at Haysi Funeral Home in Haysi, VA with a funeral service to begin at 7:00 p.m. The funeral services will be officiated by Rev. Dennis Jones.
