Obituary for Fern Taylor (Cochran)

Clintwood, VA- Fern Cochran Taylor, age 86, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Heritage Hall in Clintwood, VA. Born in Dickenson County, she was a daughter of the late Sam and Elizabeth Viola Vanover Cochran. She was a homemaker and member of Pound Fork Primitive Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Taylor, sisters, Goldie (Ed) Hurt, Rosa (Worley) Gibson, Vonda (Keith) Davis, Maxie (Ernest) Linville and Mabel Lowery and brothers, Vester (Alpha) Cochran, Tandy Cochran, Bert (Nora) Cochran, Hurley (1st wife Vera) Cochran and Merville (Izetta) Cochran.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Florence (the late Hurley) Cochran of Breaks and a brother-in-law, Don (the late Mabel) Cochran of Stockton, CA and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elder Roger Fuller officiating. Burial will follow in Newberry Cemetery, Tarpon, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
