JAMES ED GREEN
Haysi, VA- James Ed Green, age 63 0f Laurel Branch Road, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015 at his home surrounded by the ones he loved. Born in Buchanan County, he was a son of the late Ernest and Madge Wolford Green. He served in the U.S. Army and was employed with Schneider National Carriers for 30 years, where he earned his 3 million miles safety award.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Kay Green, and their two sons, Jamie Green of Weber City, VA and Jerry Green of Bristol, VA, also his son, Eric Shawn (Barbara) Green of Raven, VA, 2 granddaughters, Kaylee Marie Green and Kyndall Renae Green both of Gate City, VA and a brother, Rex Allen (Melissa) Green of Vansant.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Haysi Funeral Home with Avery Barton and Darrell Thacker officiating. Burial will follow in Auty Owens Cemetery, Haysi, VA. Pallbearers will be Chris Edwards, Brett and Russell Stallard, Dwayne and Mike Owens, Keith and Kyle Ramey, Warren Thacker, Austin Counts and Denny Thomas.
