Obituary for Dennis Morgan Turner

DENNIS MORGAN TURNER

Birchleaf, VA- Dennis Morgan Turner, age 68 of Creekside Drive, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Norton Community Hospital in Norton, VA. Born in Dickenson County, he was a son of the late Jeff and Erlene Sutherland Turner. He was last employed as a coal mine operator and was a member of Mountain View Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Turner and a brother-in-law, Ronald Sharp.
Survivors include his ex-wife, Darlene Colley, two sons, Jeffery Lee Turner of Coeburn and Brian Turner of North Carolina, 4 grandchildren, Dasha, Haley, Jeffery and Kelly, 2 great-grandchildren, Mason and Joel, a sister, Lana Sharp of Birchleaf, two special nephews, Adam Sharp and Ronnie Turner and several nieces and nephews.
A Graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2015 at Sutherland Cemetery, Birchleaf, VA with Larry Younce officiating. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com Haysi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
