Obituary for Dwane Ellis Willis

DWANE ELLIS WILLIS
Haysi, VA- Dwane Ellis Willis, age 54 of Lazarus Branch, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tn. Born in Michigan, he was a son of Lorraine Austin Willis and the late Johnny Ellis Willis. He was last employed in maintenance at Heritage Hall and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Wayne.
In addition to his mother, survivors include best friend and companion, Brenda Armstrong, a brother, Eddie Joe (Jo) Willis of Haysi, a sister, Janet (Richard) Barnes of Mendon Hall, Mississippi, Godparents, Toni and Frank Fuller of Haysi, a nephew, Matthew (Samantha) Willis, a niece, Amanda (Kent) Chiffer and great-nephews, Conner Sutherland and Liam Willis.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Haysi Funeral Home with Terry Epling officiating. Burial will follow in Rebecca Willis Cemetery, Haysi, VA. Pallbearers will be David and Anthony Yates, Brian Green, James Mullins, Kent Chiffer, Matthew Willis and Richard Barnes.Honorary pallbearer will be Frankie Fuller.The family will receive friends after 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday prior to funeral service at 12:00 noon.
