CASBY COLEMAN
Haysi, Va- Casby Coleman, age 66 of Triple C Farms Road, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015 at Buchanan General Hospital in Grundy, VA.Born in Buchanan County, he was a son of the late Oliver and Mindy Deel Coleman. He was a coal miner for 30 years and was a member and deacon of Mountain View Old Regular Baptist Church. He loved hunting and fishing and taking his grandchildren hunting. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, George W., Emory and Sherman Coleman and four sisters, Vandora Boyd, Evelyn Coleman, Pearlie Jane Coleman and Vernie Yates.
Survivors include his wife, Annie, a son, Kevin Mark Coleman and a daughter, Michelle Lynn Coleman (Michael Turner) both of Haysi, grandchildren, Matthew and Eric Dickins, Casey (Roger) Edwards, Courtney (Derick) Johnson, Shannon Abel, Joshua Turner, Fred Abel IV, Steven Coleman, Emily Coleman, Seth Abel and a great-grandchild, Ila Edwards, two brothers, David (Marlene) Coleman and Burnice Coleman both of Haysi, four sisters, Orpha Yates of N.C., Lexie (Johnny) Hicks of Bradshaw WV, Sylvia (Ivan ) Boyd of Concord and Essie Margaret Coleman of Haysi, special daughters, Teresa Buress, Christina Peck, Wendy Deel and special friends, Dreama Beavers and Alicia Boyd. He loved his wife and children dearly and he will be missed but not forgotton.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2015 at Mountain View Old Regular Baptist Church with Andy Deel, Mark Justice and Jimmy Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Church Cemetery, Birchleaf, VA. Pallbearers will be Roger Edwards, Derick Jackson, Zack Owens, Seth Abel, Joshua, Matt and Michael Turner, Bub Fred Abel IV, Steven Coleman and Matthew Dickens.
