Gerald Tilford Epling
Grundy, VA – Gerald Tilford Epling, age 70 passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Williamson ARH Hospital in South Williamson, KY. A 1963 graduate of Haysi High School, he was a son of the late Clovis S. and Eunice Sanders Epling. He was last employed as a lineman for General Telephone Company and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Glendene Bartley.
Survivors include two daughters, Shelley Epling of Durham, NC and Sheri Epling of Grundy, VA; a sister Wanda (Jackie) Owens of Bristol, TN; a brother, Talmadge Epling of Cicero, IL; two grandchildren, Bradley Epling and Brieana Bailey; and two great grandchildren, Xander Bailey and Silas Bailey.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2015 at Haysi Funeral Home with Jim Duty officiating. Burial will follow in the Belcher Cemetery, Haysi, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. A visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service on Monday. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
