Clintwood, VA – Michael Eugene Mayo, age 26 of State Route Road, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015. Born in Meridian Mississippi, he attended Haysi High School and was a graduate of Military Institute. He was truck driver for JWT Wells Service Inc. He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Ray; grandmother, Shirley Ashworth and grandfather, Ray Mayo.
Survivors include his wife, Krystal Hayes; children, Sophia, Madaline and an unborn child; his mother, Kimberly and husband Jared Mullins of West Virginia; stepfather, Phillip Sullivan of Alabama; two sisters, Jessica O’Quinn of Pennsylvania and Sara Mayo of West Virginia; grandmother, Charlene Mayo; grandfather, Arlie Eugene Rasnick; nieces and nephews, Kayla, Christopher, Lydia, Brianna and Elijah; and aunts and uncles, Floyd and April Osborne and Kitty and Ed Wynn.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2015 at Haysi Funeral Home with Danny Sluss and Darrell Milgrim officiating. Burial will follow in the Sheldon W. Mullins Cemetery, Clintwood, VA. Pallbearers will be Jason Baker, Kenneth Large, Lamar Mayo, Christopher Williams, Buck Walden, Matthew Cook, Tag Connor and Jared Mullins.
