Haysi, VA- Willard Deel, age 74, passed away Friday, November 28, 2014 at his home. Born in Dickenson County, he was a son of the late Noah Shannon and Louisa Delphia Owens Deel. He was a retired construction worker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lance and Larry Deel.
Survivors include his long time companion, Judy Charles, children, Mary Wilma Bowlin, Conya Lisa (Scott) Mull, Resha Kimberly Deel, Julya Jolene (Edward) Bowers, Willard Chad (Dawn) Deel and Kamia Meagan Deel all of TN, three sisters, Sharon (Jerry) Deel and Becky (Terry) Bartley both of Haysi and Julia (Ted) Fillgrove of Augusta, GA, two brothers, Mike (Wanda) Deel of Haysi and John (Elizabeth) Deel of Bristol and grandchildren, Scotty, Preston, Auston, Summer and Chase.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2014 at Haysi Funeral Home with Chad Deel and Edward Deel officiating. Burial will follow in Shannon Deel Cemetery, Haysi, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
