IBBIE BARTON BOYD
Bee, VA- Ibbie Barton Boyd, age 86, passed away Friday, November 28, 2014 at Heritage Hall Healthcare in Clintwood, VA. Born July 6, 1928 in Dickenson County, she was a daughter of the late Douglas and Gracie Sutherland Barton. She was a homemaker and member of Duty Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Boyd, sisters, Joan Hill, Vernie Campbell and Mary Hill and brothers, Henry, Caney, Willard, Evans, Howard, Billy, McKinley, Ernest and Lendon Barton.
Survivors include a sister, Catherine Bostic of Honaker and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Haysi Funeral Home with Roy Lee Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Sullivan Cemetery, Bee,VA. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with an evening service at 7:00 p.m. Special thanks to friends and staff at Clintwood Nursing Home.
