LARRY EUGENE DEEL
Birchleaf, VA- Larry Eugene Deel, age 60 of Rocky Gap Hollow, passed away Monday, August 11, 2014 at his home. Born in Dickenson County, he was a son of Kathleen Charles Deel and the late Clovis Deel. He was a disabled coal miner. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Tony Deel, a brother, Edson Lee Deel and a sister, Susie Deel.
In addition to his mother, survivors include two daughters, Celesta (Carson) Presley of Lebanon and Melanie (Richie) Stanley of Haysi, two sons, Cliff (Lori) Deel of Dante and Vaughn Deel of Birchleaf, three sisters, Patsy Bowman of Big Stone Gap, Sherry (Rus) Boyd of Birchleaf and Betty (Darrell) Streng of Vansant, three brothers, Lynn (Sherry) Deel of Birchleaf, Louie (Cathy) Deel of Dante and Steve Deel of Birchleaf, 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Haysi Funeral Home with Junior Deel officiating. Burial will follow in Deel Cemetery, Birchleaf, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
