Obituary for Billy Tivis Ramey

Billy Tivis  Ramey

Haysi, VA- Billy Tivis Ramey, age 57, passed away at his residence June 26, 2014. Born on September 13, 1956 and raised in Dickenson County, he was a son of the late Willie Ervin and Celesta Ann Wiggins Ramey. He was last employed as a Janitor for Haysi High School and a member of VFW Auxiliary #3782. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a loving brother, Larry Roger Ramey, 3 infant brothers, Harold, Carol and William Jessie, a sister, Marie Ratliff and a brother, Agia Farmer.
Those that are left to mourn the loss of this great man is a daughter, Jessica Nicole (Ronnie) Turner of Haysi, a son, William Jason of Kingsport, TN four amazing grandchildren whom he cherished, Madisynn, Cooper, Rihanna and Autymn Turner, four sisters, Sue Edwards and Gay Counts both of Haysi, Katie (Johnnie) Myers of Danielsville, GA and Margaret Anwinna (Brad) Viers of Arnoldsville, GA, two brothers, Joe Ramey of Tarpon and Denver (Patsy) Ramey of Coeburn, a special sister-in-law, Johanna Ramey and several nieces and nephews. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all and will be missed deeply.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Haysi Funeral Home with Lonnie Fuller officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 30, at Barton Cemetery, Haysi, VA. Pallbearers will be Kyle O’quinn, Ronnie Turner Jr., Timmy Wallace, A.J. Hudgins, Billy Counts and Charlie Counts. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home prior to funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Singers will be Kyle O’quinn and Janie Sutherland.
