JAMES “UNCLE JIMMY” SIKES
Norton, VA- James “Uncle Jimmy” Sikes, age 67, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center in Norton, VA. Born in Syracuse, NY, he was a son of the late Robert Franklin and Norma Mae Bell Sikes. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was last employed by Ford Moter on assembly line and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mina B. Sikes and a brother, Robert F. Sikes, Jr.
Survivors include a sister, Linda (Glenn) Sykes of Haysi, three nieces, Glenda (Lee) Baker and Sherry Sykes both of Haysi and Patty (Kevin) Merritt of Fall Branch, TN, great nieces and nephews, Heather Raines, Jessa Thomas, Laken Montgomery, Cody Branham and Kaley and Keri Merritt, great-great nieces and nephews, Coden, Ariel, Blayden, Ayden, Brooklynn, Miley, Conner and Desirae.
