MOLLEY FERN OWENS

Lebanon, VA- Molley Fern Owens, age 67 of Twin Oak Circle, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands, VA. Born in Buchanan County, she was a daughter of the late Rosie E. Childress and Dave Dales. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby H. Owens and sisters, Elsie Owens, Jackie Ratliff, Betty Ratliff and Berta Owens.
Survivors include two daughters, Wendy (Chris) Gilbert of Lebanon and Patricia (Jeff) Colley of Vansant, four sisters, Lyle Owens, Kelsie Compton, Plina Deel and Jerlene Deel, three brothers, Rufus Owens, John Owens and Roy Childress, 5 grandchildren, Jacinda Penley, Trista Short, Christa Merriman, Alexis and Aidan Gilbert and 6 great-grandchildren, Haley Gilbert, Mica and Brooklyn Merriman, Layne Short, Jaylynn and Ryne Penley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2014 at Free Christian Church on Big A Mtn. with Edward Tiller officiating. Burial will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens, Lebanon, VA. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the church with an evening service at 7:00 p.m. with Jeff Tiller and Keith Harris officiating.
