Haysi, VA- Linda Carolyn Mullins, age 57, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Norton Community Hospital in Norton VA. Born in Dickenson County, she was a daughter of the late Junior and Draxie Woods. She was a homemaker and was of the Christian faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Mullins.
Survivors include two daughters, Mendy (Phillip) Raines of Haysi, Melinda (Shanon) Edwards of Clinchco and a son, Travis Mullins of Clinchco, two sisters, Burlinia Powers and Justine Woods both of Haysi, two brothers, Junior Dean (Becky) Woods and her twin brother, Henry (Becky) Woods both of Haysi, a special friend, Roy Mullins of Haysi, grandchildren, Kayla Lee, Ashley, Sydnee, Christopher, Dalton, Issac, Logan, Elijah, Kainen and Abigail, two great-grandchildren, Mystical and Rihanna.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2014 at Haysi Funeral Home with Denver Kelly and Darrell Thacker officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, at Woods Cemetery, Clinchco, VA. Pallbearers will be sons-in-law and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home prior to funeral service at 7:00. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home toward funeral expenses.
