CLEVE RATLIFF
Vansant, VA- Cleve Ratliff, age 76, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014 at his home. Born in Buchanan County, he was a son of the late Robert “Bob” and Celia Stilwell Ratliff. He was last employed as a logger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Shortridge Ratliff, a son, Scott Ratliff, four brothers, Claude, Arville, Clyde and Walter Ratliff, four sisters, Ethel and Patricia Ratliff, Nola Bostic and Faye Hill.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandy (Rick) Neeley and a son, Tony Ratliff both of Little Fox Creek, two sisters, Betty Shortridge and Fonnie Bostic both of Little Fox Creek, 5 grandchildren, Tracy Neeley of Speedwell, TN and Kaitlyn, Cody, Alison and Joshua Ratliff all of Little Fox Creek, a great-grandchild, Sophie Neeley of Speedwell, TN, several special nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Darrell O’quinn.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Haysi Funeral Home with Don Sullivan and Denver Barton officiating. Burial will follow in Ratliff Cemetery, Little Fox Creek, VA. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
