Obituary for Cleve Ratliff

Cleve  Ratliff
CLEVE RATLIFF
Vansant, VA- Cleve Ratliff, age 76, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014 at his home. Born in Buchanan County, he was a son of the late Robert “Bob” and Celia Stilwell Ratliff. He was last employed as a logger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Shortridge Ratliff, a son, Scott Ratliff, four brothers, Claude, Arville, Clyde and Walter Ratliff, four sisters, Ethel and Patricia Ratliff, Nola Bostic and Faye Hill.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandy (Rick) Neeley and a son, Tony Ratliff both of Little Fox Creek, two sisters, Betty Shortridge and Fonnie Bostic both of Little Fox Creek, 5 grandchildren, Tracy Neeley of Speedwell, TN and Kaitlyn, Cody, Alison and Joshua Ratliff all of Little Fox Creek, a great-grandchild, Sophie Neeley of Speedwell, TN, several special nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Darrell O’quinn.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Haysi Funeral Home with Don Sullivan and Denver Barton officiating. Burial will follow in Ratliff Cemetery, Little Fox Creek, VA. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, at the funeral home with a song service at 7:00 p.m. Online condolences may be sent www.haysifuneral.com Haysi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
