FONNIE E. KISER
Galion, OH- Fonnie E. Kiser, age 92, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Virginia on Jan. 19, 1921, she was a daughter of the late George Washington Church Sr. and Angeline Deel Church. Fonnie retired from Galion Community Hospital after many years, she was Supervisor of Housekeeping. She started at the hospital as a seamstress. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening, canning and cooking for the family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Kiser July 6, 1982. They married October 14, 1940, also three sons, Andy Blake Kiser, Alvin McNeal Kiser and Randy Tim Kiser.
Survivors include a son, Chip Kiser of Grand Blanc, MI, a daughter, Sheila Conley of Galion, OH, 10 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, a great-great grandchild, a brother, George Washington Church Jr. of Johnsville and
a sister, Bonnie Dillon of Sullivan.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elder Terry O’quinn officiating. Burial will follow in George Church Cemetery, Haysi, VA.
