Birchleaf, VA- Rose Fuller Sutherland, age 79 of Mayberry Drive, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013 at her home. Born in Dickenson County, she was a daughter of the late Fred M. and Goldie Counts Fuller. She was a homemaker and former member of Haysi Rescue Squad. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Lowell Sutherland and a brother, Ralph Fuller.
Survivors include a daughter, Debbie (Joe) Orr of Meadowview, three sons, Mick Sutherland of Birchleaf, Frankie (Pam) Sutherland and Matt (Jenny) Sutherland both of Haysi, grandchildren, Billie (Steven) Maiden, Michael Sutherland, Melanie (Jon) Caldwell, Kirsten (Matt) Deel and Matney Sutherland,a step-granddaughter, Kim Deel, great-grandchildren, Ella, Avery and Elaina, Conner Sutherland and Mason Caldwell, four sisters, Jane Fleming, Betty Smith, Nancy Barnes and Joan Colley, four brothers, Bob Fuller, Danny Fuller, Paul Fuller and Gary Fuller.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Haysi Funeral Home with Joe Orr. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, at Owens Cemetery, Birchleaf, VA. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
