TRULAH FAYE POWERS
Birchleaf, VA- Trulah Faye Powers, age 80 passed away Monday, November 18, 2013 at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY. Born in Dickenson County, she was a daughter of the late Elder Martin and Mae Powers Edwards. She was last employed as a teacher for 37 1/2 years and was of the Primitive Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Powers, brothers, Lewis, Wayne, Clyde, Ersel and James Edwards, sisters, Susie Lee and Helen Edwards and a granddaughter, April Powers.
Survivors include a son, Adrian Powers of Birchleaf, grandchildren, Amber, Alicia, Lucas, Caleb and Michelle Grimes, great-grandchildren, Nautia, Brandan, Arianna and Isabella and a sister, Ruth Arrington of Ohio.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Haysi Funeral Home with Jeremiah Sluss officiating.
