Obituary for Annette Yates Owens

Annette Yates  Owens
Haysi, VA- Annette Owens, age 83 of Dickenson Highway, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013 at her home. Born in Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Jerry and Roxie Deel Yates. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Karen Sue Owens and brothers, Erwin and Don Yates.
Survivors include her husband, Ellis Owens, two daughters, Brenda (Clayton) O’quinn and Merilyn (Elder Buster) Mullins, two sons, Larry (Barbara) Owens and William (Mary) Owens all of Haysi, grandchildren, Deirdre Deel, Chris Mullins, Mike Mullins, Tracy Campbell, Candice Owens and Madison Owens, great-grandsons, Michael Ryan, Damon Vance and Dawson Deel, great-granddaughters, Brittany, Hannah, Katy, Kylie and Dakota, sisters, Jackie Raines of Haysi, Shelby (Rodney) Taylor of Bristol and Myrna (Bruce) Barr of Richmond, a step-sister, Georgia Hay of Belfast and brothers, Jerold (Ellen) Yates of Bee and Greg Branham of NC
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, September 1, 2013 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders Toby Bailey, Jim Blankenship, Eddie Newsome, David O’quinn, Frank Newsome and Steve Lyall officiating. Burial will follow in Bailey- Owens Cemetery, Haysi, VA. Pallbearers will be grandsons, great- grandsons, Scotty Owens, Danny Yates and Richie Yates. The famiy will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. Saturday, August 31, at the funeral home with an evening service at 7:00 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com Haysi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
