Haysi, VA- Flora Bell Runyons Anderson, age 80 of Centennial Heights, passed away Monday, August 12, 2013 at Heritage Hall Healthcare in Clintwood, VA. Born in Buchanan County, she was a daughter of the late Garfield and Francis Shortridge Runyons. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Anderson, a brother, James Runyons, sisters, Mary Reeves and Maria Robinson, grandchildren, Chad, Danny, Michael, Johnny, Shonnia and Tonya McCoy.
Survivors include six children, Roger (Norma) McCoy and Dorothy (Jerry) Taylor both of Grapevine, KY, Kathy McCoy, Betty (Richie) Deel and Sunny (Sheila) McCoy all of Haysi and Patsy (David) Mutter of Middleburg, FL, 9 step-children, 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, a couple weeks from her first great-great grandson, Zayden, a special granddaughter, Brittney Hope Justice and a brother, Roger (Juanita) Runyons of Richlands.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Haysi Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, at Mountain Valley Memorial Park in Big Rock, VA. Pallbearers will be grandsons and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Anderson, David Owens, Allen Deel, David Mutter, Jerry Taylor, Joey Justice, Richie Deel and Sammy Runyons.
