Haysi, VA- Charlene F. Deel, age 43 of Nancy Hollow, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Lonesome Pine Hospital in Norton, VA. Born in Dickenson County, she was a daughter of Jimmy Finis Counts and the late Virginia Fay Leftwich Counts. She was last employed as a cashier at Dollar General in Haysi, was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her father, survivors include her husband, Gary Kevin Deel, three daughters, Natasha (Justin) Mullins of Dante, VA Stephanie (Nathaniel) Mullins of Haysi, VA and Tabatha (Dilan) Deel of Pennington Gap, VA, a son, Dakota Deel of the home, 3 grandchildren, Mason, Bentley and Saber, a sister, Cheryl (Will) Harrison of Norton, two brothers, Dean (Diana) Counts and Gerald Counts both of Haysi and several special nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2013 at Lickcreek Freewill Baptist Church with Will Harrison and Palmer Leftwich officiating. Burial will follow in Sutherland Cemetery, Haysi, VA.
