SHIRLEY FAYE HOGSTON
Haysi, VA- Shirley Faye Hogston, age 55 of Wagon Trail Road, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN. Born in Highland Park, MI, she was a daughter of Kathleen (Kathy) Edwards Hill and the late Finas Hill. She was a 1976 Haysi High School graduate, a LPN nurse working in Grundy and at Dr. Molina’s office in Haysi, a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts and a member of GWRRA. Shirley was baptized Easter Sunday in 1973 and was a member of Splashdam Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, Karl, a daughter, Amanda Dawn and her husband Bobby Perrigan Jr. and their children, Alexandria, Julianna, IsaBella and Gwendolyn of Haysi and a son, Daniel Jason and his wife, Chika Hogston and their children, Hinata and Asahi stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base in MO, her mother and father-in-law, Onis and Gladys Hogston of Grundy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Haysi Funeral Home with Darrell Milgrim and Phillip Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Hill Family Cemetery, Haysi, VA. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Perrigan, Onis Hogston, Randall Hogston and Hamilton Edwards.
