JAMES GIBSON JR.
Mt. Jackson, VA- James Gibson Jr., age 59 of Orkney Drive, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. Born in Wise, VA, he was a son of the late James Morrell and Doris Ann Mullins Gibson. He was last employed as a heavy equipment operator, was an avid hunter and fisherman and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Marie Gibson, a son, Anthony Gibson of Kingsport, two daughters, Ann Marie Mullins of Bristol, TN and Sandy Marshall of Caney Ridge, two stepchildren, Joseph and Ricky, grandchildren, Cody, Taylor, Logan, Brady, Nathaniel, Anna Bella, Teagan, Trace and Devin, his first wife Jane McCarty Hollis, two brothers, Jerry (Pam) Gibson of Abingdon, Jeff (Dreama) Gibson of Woodstock and a sister, JoAnne (Buddy) Gray of Myrtle Beach, SC.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Haysi Funeral Home with Danny Sluss officiating. A visitation and song service will be held Friday, May 10 at the funeral home from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to help with expenses.
