Obituary for Dollie Powers (Mullins)

Dollie   Powers (Mullins)
Haysi, VA – Dollie M. Powers, age 80 of Dewey Drive, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Pikeville Medical Center in Kentucky. Born in Dickenson County, she was a daughter of the late Doc and Cora Mullins. She was a homemaker and member of Clinchco Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dewey E. Powers, an infant son, Dennis, a sister, Carrie Owens, and a brother, Clovis Mullins.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, David and Phyllis Powers of Haysi, three daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Biff Belcher, Tammie and Bill Davis, and Mary Kathryn and Lorn Looney all of Haysi, two sisters, Connie Kell of Interlachen, FL and Bonnie Deel of Breaks, VA, four grandchildren, Matthew, Maghan, Tyler, and Lori Kaitlin, a great-granddaughter, Madyson, and a special caregiver, Mary Deel.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Haysi Funeral Home with Danny Sluss officiating. Burial will follow in the Powers Cemetery, Haysi. Grandsons, sons-in-law, and nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 23 at the funeral home where an evening service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Johnny Turner.
